KMTA Welcomes New Executive Director Rachel Blakeslee

Rachel Blakeslee

KMTA is thrilled to announce the hiring of Rachel Blakeslee as the new Executive Director! Rachel Blakeslee is an environmental and community advocate with over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, fundraising, education, and research. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies from Southwestern University, and a Masters in Marine in Environmental Affairs from the University of Washington. Her dual background in environmental health and education stems from her belief that all people deserve the right to live in a healthy, clean, and safe environment. In her spare time, you’ll find her recreating with her family and dogs in Alaska’s beautiful outdoor spaces, especially throughout the KMTA corridor.

We look forward to the future with Rachel at our helm! We also wish our outgoing Executive Director Jessica Szelag happy journeys as she and her family move to Idaho.
