Your support helps expand kids access to transformative outdoor education experiences throughout Southcentral Alaska. Everything we do is made possible by a strong community of donors, volunteers, and partners like you. No matter how you choose to contribute, thank you for helping us connect kids to nature.

We know that transportation is equity. While outdoor learning should be free and available to all, there are many barriers that prevent kids from accessing all the benefits that nature has to offer. One of the key challenges our kids face is simply getting there. Through our new Transportation Equity Initiative, we’ve set an ambitious goal to transport 1,100 kids to unique outdoor education experiences throughout our Heritage Area. To do this, we must raise $80,000 by the end of July 2023. Help us reach that goal and bridge the transportation divide, bringing smiles to kids’ faces for miles.

IN-KIND SUPPORT

Hosting experiential outdoor education programs means spending a lot of time, well…outside. If you’re looking to get rid of any used gear, consider donating it to help keep our kiddos warm, dry, and as prepared as possible in the great outdoors. Similarly, if you’d like to donate any new items, we could certainly put them to good use. Simply fill out our in-kind interest form to get the ball rolling! You can also check out our AmazonSmile Wish List to help us fill our program-specific needs.

We welcome volunteers at all of our education programs. You do not have to have a background in education to help out, though if you do that’s great! What you do need is a passion for working with kids, a love for learning, and a positive attitude. If that sounds like you, we’d love to have you join us! Just fill out our volunteer interest form and we’ll be in touch about opportunities. Maximum fun guaranteed!
