Highlights the beauty of the Spencer Glacier and history of the Alaska Railroad as racers retrace the glacier’s recession over the last 100 years.
Celebrates the joy of Nordic skiing on the 5K Nordic Loop in Girdwood, AK and the significance of the historic 10K trail that came before it as a part of the 1969 Junior National Ski Race.
Encourages participants to explore and recreate on the extensive network of trails throughout the KMTA region in a fun, competitive challenge throughout the summer.
